Abstract

Rad sadrži teorijski okvir višestruke linearne regresije kao statističke metode koja služi u znanstveno – istraživačkom radu. Prikazana su dva primjera primjene višestruke regresije. Prvi primjer je anketno istraživanje kupaca kave, koje je provedeno u sklopu „Case Study Competition“ za Nestle, a drugim primjerom višestruke regresije se analizira ovisnost antioksidacijske aktivnosti u vinima putem Briggs-Rauscherove reakcije. U zaključku se razmatra da li je uporaba višestruke regresije za odabrane podatke bila pravilan odabir i naglašava se njezina učinkovitost u prehrambenoj industriji i znanosti o prehrani.

Abstract (english)

The paper contains a theoretical framework of multiple linear regression as the statistical method used in the scientific – research work. It shows two examples of multiple regression, the first example is a survey of coffee buyers which was conducted under the “Case Study Competition” for Nestle. Another example of multiple regression is analysis of the dependence of antioxidant activity in wines by Briggs- Rauscher reaction. In conclusion, it is discussed whether the use of multiple regression for the data was properly selected method and emphasized its efficiency in the food industry and the science of nutrition.
