Abstract

Autoagregacija bakterijskih stanica preduvjet je za njihovu uspješnu adheziju na intestinalne epitelne stanice, što je jedan od glavnih kriterija za izbor probiotičkih sojeva. Nadalje, stanice koje imaju svojstvo koagregacije s patogenim mikroorganizmima mogu stvoriti prepreku koja sprječava njihovu kolonizaciju u gastrointestinalnom sustavu domaćina. Prema tome, autoagregacija i kooagregacija su poželjna svojstva probiotičkih sojeva. U ovom su radu ispitana autoagregacijska svojstva 12 potencijalnih probiotičkih sojeva bakterija mliječne kiseline koji su izolirani iz tradicionalno proizvedenih sireva.Pokazali su uspješnost autoagregacije veću od 50% na temelju čega mogu iz tog aspekta biti proglašeni kao potencijalni probiotički sojevi. Također je ispitana i uspješnost njihove koagregacije sa patogenim mikroorganizmima Postotak koagregacije sa patogenom Staphylococcus aureus 3048 iznosila je više 38%, sa patogenom Escherichia coli 3014 više od 32%, sa patogenom Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium FP1 više od 38% te sa Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633 više od 34% za svih 12 sojeva ispitanih u ovom radu.

Abstract (english)

Autoaggregation of bacterial cells is a precondition for their adhesion to intestinal epithelial cells, which is one of the most important criteria in selection of probiotic strains. Furthermore, cells with the ability of coaggregation with pathogenic microorganisms may create a barrier that prevents their colonization in gastrointestinal system of the host. Hence, autoaggregation and coaggregation are desirable properties of probiotic strains.The aim of this work was to investigate autoaggregation properties of 12 potential probiotic lactic acid bacteria strains, which were isolated from traditionally produced cheeses and also their coaggregation with pathogenic microorganisms Staphylococcus aureus 3048 (with effectiveness more than 38%), Escherichia coli 3014 (with effectiveness more than 32%), Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium FP1 (with effectiveness more than 38%) and Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633 (with effectiveness more than 34%). Therefore, examined strains could be selected as potential probiotic strains.
