Proteini sudjeluju u važnim biološkim interakcijama. Poremećaji u njihovoj aktivnosti uzrokuju kronična ili infektivna oboljenja. S obzirom da je uporaba peptida kao terapeutika dosta ograničena, peptidomimetici se nameću kao obećavajući funkcionalni analozi prirodnih peptida. Abstract (english)

Proteins are known to be involved in diverse biological interactions. Any disorder of their function causes chronic or infectious disease. Since the application of peptides as therapeutics is limited, peptidomimetics arise as a new promising peptide analogues. Peptidomimetics mimic the structural elements and/or biological effects of peptides, regardless of their structure.
