Abstract

Bolesnici s teškim ozljedama mozga imaju povećan rizik od proteinsko- energetske pothranjenosti ili nedostatka mikronutrijenata kada je unos nizak ili metabolička stopa visoka. U radu su promatrana tri pacijenta koji su doživjeli moždani udar, te su u stanju koma vigile hospitalizirani u KB „Dubrava“. Cilj rada bio je utvrditi antropometrijske i biokemijske parametre prilikom primitka u bolnicu te nakon 5 tjedana. Tijekom liječenja pacijenti su bili podvrgnuti posebno osmišljenoj enteralnoj prehrani. Energetska vrijednost obroka rasla je od 1500- 5000 kcal. Tjelesna masa ispitanika porasla je u prosjeku za 14 %, te je došlo do porasta udjela masnog tkiva. Od promatranih biokemijskih parametara došlo je do povećanja vrijednosti albumina u svih ispitanika, dok vrijednosti kreatinina u jednog ispitanika nisu dosegle referentnu vrijednost.

Abstract (english)

Patients with severe brain injury are at increased risk of protein-energy malnutrition and micronutrient deficiency when intake is low or high metabolic rate. The paper observed three patients who experienced a stroke, and are able to coma Vigile hospitalized in Clinical Hospital "Dubrava". The aim of this study was to determine the anthropometric and biochemical parameters at hospital admission and after 5 weeks. During treatment the patients were subjected to special planned enteral nutrition. The energy value of meals increased from 1500 - 5000 kcal. Body weight of patients increased by an average of 14% and the increase of adipose tissue. Concerning the biochemical parameters, there was an increase in the value of albumin in all patients, while the value of creatinine in one patient did not reach the reference value.
