Abstract

Membranski bioreaktor je kombinacija standardnog aerobnog postupka obrade otpadne vode i membranske tehnologije. U ovom završnom radu su navedeni tipovi membranskih modula, prednosti i nedostatci membranskih bioreaktora s uronjenim membranama te usporedba s klasičnom biološkom obradom otpadne vode. MBR tehnologija je još uvijek u razdoblju intenzivnog razvoja. Najveći problem vezan uz upotrebu membranskog bioreaktora je začepljivanje membrana, što uvelike poskupljuje proces. Stoga su sva istraživanja usmjerena upravo na rješavanje i poboljšavanje tog problema. Rezultati mnogih istraživanja su pokazali da se primjenom uronjenih membrana u membranskim bioreaktorima može smanjiti začepljivanje, pri čemu se istovremeno reducira i potrošnja energije.

Abstract (english)

Membrane bioreactor is the combination of standard aerobic wastewater treatment process and membrane technology. In this final work, the types of membrane modules, the advantages and disadvantages of membrane bioreactors with submerged membranes and comparison with the conventional biological treatment of wastewater are listed. MBR technology is still in a period of intensive development. The biggest problem with the use of membrane bioreactor is membrane fouling, which greatly increases the price of the process. Therefore, all studies are directed to improving and solving this problem. Results of many studies have shown that using submerged membranes in membrane bioreactors can reduce the fouling, while simultaneously reducing energy consumption.
