Abstract

U ovom radu istražena je autotrofna i heterotrofna nitrifikacija s aktivnim muljem podrijetlom iz uređaja za obradu otpadne vode iz šećerane Virovitica. Pokusi su provedeni pri aerobnim uvjetima u šaržnim bioreaktorima volumena 3 L. U pokusima heterotrofne nitrifikacije organski sastojci su podrijetlom iz otpadne vode koja doprinosi sa KPK. U uvjetima autotrofne nitrifikacije uz početnu koncentraciju NH4-N 25,7 mg/L brzina oksidacije amonijaka iznosila je 7,14 mg NH4-N/Lh, dok uz početnu koncentraciju NH4-N 46,5 mg/L brzina oksidacije amonijaka je iznosila 5,46 mg NH4-N/Lh. Brzina oksidacije amonijaka od 9,72 mg NH4-N/Lh postignuta je pri heterotrofnoj nitrifikaciji uz omjer KPK/NH4-N 10,3. Mikrobna kultura aktivnog mulja imala je sposobnost biološke nitrifikacije.

Abstract (english)

In this paper was investigated the autotrophic and heterotrophic nitrification of activated sludge originating from the municipal wastewater treatment plant from the sugar factory in Virovitica city. Experiments were conducted in aerobic conditions in batch bioreactors volume of 3 L. In the experiments of heterotrophic nitrification organic compounds originating from waste water which contributes to the COD. In autotrophic nitrification with initial concentration of NH4-N 25.7 mg/L the ammonia oxidation rate was 7.14 mg NH4-N/Lh, while at the initial concentration of NH4-N 46.5 mg/L the ammonia oxidation rate was 5.46 mg NH4-N/Lh. Ammonia oxidation rate of 9.72 mg NH4-N/Lh was achieved at the ratio of KPK/NH4-N 10.3. The microbial culture of activated sludge performed biological nitrification.
