Kakvoća prehrane žena oboljelih od celijakije iz mediteranske i kontinentalne regije Republike Hrvatske

Abstract

Celijakija je kronična bolest tankog crijeva koja nastaje kao posljedica trajne nepodnošljivosti glutena. Oboljeli pripadaju rizičnoj skupini za malapsorpciju, te unatoč strogoj bezglutenskoj dijeti često imaju neadekvatan prehrambeni status. Cilj ovoga rada bio je utvrditi kakvoću prehrane, nutritivni status i antropometrijske parametre žena oboljelih od celijakije koje su na strogoj bezglutenskoj dijeti. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćeno 40 osoba, ženskog spola, oboljelih od celijakije, u dobi od 19 do 69 godina s prebivalištem na području Republike Hrvatske. Ispitanice su s obzirom na regiju u kojoj žive bile podijeljene u dvije skupine, mediteranska regija i kontinentalna regija. Kakvoća prehrane procijenjena je na temelju sedmodnevnog dnevnika prehrane uz vaganje te uz pomoć Mediteranskog indeksa kakvoće prehrane. Analizom sedmodnevnog dnevnika prehrane utvrđeno je da je bezglutenska prehrana ispitanica s celijakijom neuravnotežena i manjkava s obzirom na pojedine nutrijente. Mediteranskim indeksom nije utvrđena statistički značajna razlika u kakvoći prehrane između regija.

Abstract (english)

Celiac disease is a chronic disease of the small intestine that occurs as a result of permanent gluten intolerance. People with celiac disease belong to the risk group for the malabsorption, and despite a strict gluten free diet, often have an inadequate nutritional status. The aim of this study was to determine the diet quality nutritional status, and anthropometric parameters among women with celiac disease who are on a strict gluten free diet. The diet quality was estimated based on a 7-days weighed food records and Mediterranean Diet Quality Index. The study included 40 women, with age range 19-69 years with celiac disease residing in Croatia. The subjects were divided according to the living area: Mediterranean andcontinental regions. The result of the analysis showed that women with celiac disease and gluten-free diet actually had an unbalanced and poor diet. There were no significant differences in Mediterranean Diet Quality Index score according to the region.
