Abstract

Taksol je jedan od najvažnijih lijekova dobivenih iz biljaka, a koristi se u kemoterapiji kao antikancerogeni spoj. Taksol je aktivna komponenta nekoliko kemoterapeutika, a postoje i derivati taksola sa sličnim ili poboljšanim djelovanjem. Svrha ovoga rada je bila prikazati povijest razvoja taksola, njegovu strukturu, biološko djelovanje i proizvodnju kako bi se stekao uvid u kompleksnost otkrivanja i izolacije biološki aktivnih spojeva iz biljaka.

Abstract (english)

Taxol is one of the most important drugs isolated from plants and is used in chemotherapy as an anticancer agent. Taxol is an active component of several chemotherapeutic drugs and there are also derivatives of taxol with similar or improved anticancer activity. The goal of this work is to show a history of taxol development, its structure, mechanism of its biological activity and the production of taxol to demonstrate the complexity of finding and isolating active compounds from plants.
