Abstract

Diabetes mellitus je nezarazna kronična bolest kod koje ne zabrinjava samo trenutno visok broj oboljelih, već i izraziti trend porasta učestalosti tijekom posljednjih desetljeća. Temelj svakog lječenja šećerne bolesti je pravilna prehrana, tjelesna aktivnost i edukacija. Ovaj rad prikazuje tri pacijenta koju boluju od dijabetesa tipa 2 primljenih u Dnevnu bolnicu KB "Dubrava" na edukaciju. Cilj rada je bio utvrditi učinak edukacije o dijabetesu te primjenu dijabetičke prehrane u kombinaciji s terapijom na koncentracije glukoze u krvi. Svim ispitanicima utvrđeni su antropometrijski parametri (tjelesna masa, tjelesna visina, opseg struka) i određeni biokemijski parametri (glukoza na tašte, trigliceridi, ukupni kolesterol, LDL i HDL kolesterol te glikozilirani hemoglobin (HbA1c)). Određeni HbA1c pokazao je da u protekla 3 mjeseca pacijenit imali lošu regulaciju šećera u krvi. Tijekom boravka u dnevnoj bolnici ispitanici su mjerili koncentraciju šećera u krvi prije i nakon obroka koja je pokazala učinak prehrane u kombinaciji s terapijom na koncentraciju glukoze u krvi. Analizom podataka dvaju pacijenata došlo je do zaključka da pravilna dijabetička prehrana uz terapiju može stabilizirati razine glukoze u krvi, a u trećeg pacijenta još se uvijek traga za idealnom terapijom kako bi se bolest mogla kontrolirati.

Abstract (english)

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic non-contagious disease. Today we are not concern only about the large number of people with diabetes, but also because of the increasing trend of prevalence over the past decade. The foundation of any treatment of diabetes is a healthy diet, physical activity and education. This work presents three patients with type 2 diabetes who were admitted to KB "Dubrava" to be educated. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of education and the effect of diabetic diet and therapy on the concentration of glucose in the blood. For all patients were determined anthropometric parameters (body weight, body height, waist circumference) and the biochemical parameters (fasting glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c)). HbA1c showed that in the past 3 months, patients had poor blood sugar regulation. During their stay in the hospital respondents measured the concentration of blood sugar after meals and before that showed the effect of diet and therapy on the concentration of glucose in the blood. Data analysis of two patients showed that eating properly in accordance with the therapy can stabilize blood glucose levels, while the third patient is still searching for the ideal treatment to control the disease.
