Abstract

Onečišćenje tla sirovom naftom iz petrokemijskih i naftnih industrija predstavlja važan problem širom svijeta. Usporeñujući dostupne tehnike sanacije, bioremedijacija se smatra ekonomičnim i pogodnim izborom. Meñutim, spora razgradnja sirove nafte je čest problem zbog malog broja bakterija sposobnih za razgradnju naftnih ugljikovodika i niske dostupnosti onečišćenja u tlu. Biorazgradnja ugljikovodika uglavnom je uvjetovana okolišnim čimbenicima kao što su temperatura i dostupnost hranjivih tvari, a takoñer i biološkim čimbenicima kao što je mikrobiološka kakvoća i aktivnost mikrobne zajednice. Trenutne tehnologije za čišćenje tla onečišćenih ugljikovodicima su pranje tla, ekstrakcija otapalima, toplinska obrada, kompostiranje, kemijska obrada (Fentonov reagens, permanganat, ozon...) i bioremedijacija (bioaugumentacija, biostimulacija i fitoremedijacija).

Abstract (english)

Soil contamination with crude oil from petrochemicals and oil exploitation is an important worldwide issue. Comparing available remediation techniques, bioremediation is widely considered to be a costeffective choice. However, slow degradation of crude oil is a common problem due to the low numbers of bacteria capable of degrading petroleum hydrocarbons and the low bioavailability of contaminants in soil. The extent of hydrocarbons biodegradation is mainly conditioned by environmental factors such as temperature and nutrients availability and also by biological factors like the structure of the microbial community. Current technologies for cleaning up hydrocarbon contaminated soil include soil washing, solvent extraction, thermal treatment, composting, chemical oxidation (Fenton’s reagent, permanganate, ozone, etc.) and bioremediation (bioaugmentation, biostimulation and phytoremediation).
