Abstract

Nedovoljno istraženom spoju 4 – amino – 3,5 – diklorobenzojevoj kiselini, Amesovim testom, pokušali smo odrediti mutagenost i toksičnost na soju TA98 bakterije Salmonella typhimurium. Pri višim koncentracijama, uz manja odstupanja, uočava se linearna ovisnost koncentracija istraţivanog spoja o QM, što ukazuje na mutagenost, a pri nižim koncentracijama, QM je znatno manja od 1, iz čega zaključujemo da bi spoj mogao biti i toksičan na soj. Eksperiment je potrebno ponoviti još nekoliko puta kako bi bili sigurni da je spoj toksičan i mutagen na ovaj soj.

Abstract (english)

For determing mutagenicity and toxicity of a not so well-known compound 4 – amino - 3,5 dichlorobenzoic acid on a strain TA98 of Salmonella typhimurium, Ames test was used. On higher concentracions, with smaller deviations, a linear correlation between concentracions and QM values is observed, which indicates mutagenicity. On the other hand, on lower concentracions, QM values are lesser than 1, and we conclude the compound might be mutagenic and toxic for strain TA98. Results have to be verified multiple times to exactly determine whether the tested compound is toxic and mutagenic for this strain of Salmonella typhimurium.
