Abstract

Pretilost je jedan od glavnih problema današnjice jer je uzrok većeg broja nezaraznih kroničnih bolesti (npr. šećerna bolest, koronarne bolesti, hipertenzija). Cilj rada je bio utvrditi prehrambene navike i način života (tjelesna aktivnost, pušenje, konzumacija alkohola) žena čiji je indeks tjelesne mase (BMI) ≥ 25 kg/m2 , ali i procijeniti utječe li na navedene parametre stupanj uhranjenosti. Stoga su ispitanice (n=36) dobi 20-70 godina podijeljene u dvije skupine (BMI = 25-29,9 kg/m2 i BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2). U tu svrhu korištene su određene antropometrijske metode i dijetetička metoda FFQ (upitnik o učestalosti konzumiranja hrane i pića). Utvrđeno je da nema statistički značajne razlike među ispitanicama sa BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 i ispitanicama sa BMI 25 – 29,9 kg/m2, s obzirom na prosječni tjedni unos pojedinih skupina namirnica, osim za unos žestokih pića. Istraživanje na znatno većem broju ispitanica značajno bi pridonijelo kvalitetnom prosuđivanju zadane problematike.

Abstract (english)

Obesity is a major problem throughout the world because it is causing a number of not infectious chronic diseases (eg diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension). The aim of this study was to determine dietary habits and lifestyle (physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption) of women whose body mass index (BMI) is ≥ 25 kg/m2, but also to assess whether the level of these parameters nourishment. Therefore, patients (n = 36) aged 20-70 years divided into two groups (BMI=25-29.9 kg/m2, and BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2). For this purpose, certain methods of anthropometric and dietetic method included Food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) were used. It was found that there was no statistically significant differences between subjects with BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 and subjects with BMI values of 25 to 29.9 kg/m2, with respect to the average weekly intake of certain food groups exept liqueur. Research on a much larger number of patients would contribute significantly to the evaluation of a given quality issues.
