Abstract

Sulfonamidi se koriste za prevenciju i lijeĉenje bolesti u humanoj i veterinarskoj medicini. Posljedica prekomjerne upotrebe antibiotika u terapijske svrhe te kao promotora rasta životinja dovodi do pojave rezistentnih vrsta bakterija. Rezistencija na antibiotike predstavlja zdravstveni problem obzirom na povećanje broja otpornih mikroorganizama te nedostatka antibiotika za liječenje. Zbog tih razloga, nužna je kontrola sulfonamida u pčelinjim proizvodima kao jedna od temeljnih odrednica veterinarskog javnog zdravstva u svrhu zaštite krajnjih potrošača te sprječavanju širenja rezistencije. Legislativa koja zaštićuje potrošače od potencijalnog štetnih ostataka veterinarskih lijekova u hrani životinjskog podrijetla je Direktiva 96/23. Cilj ovog rada bio je razvoj potvrdne metode za određivanje sulfonamida u uzorcima meda. Za sve uzorke korišten je isti postupak ekstrakcije na čvrstoj fazi (SPE) te su analiti određivani metodom tekućinske kromatografije s tandemskom spektrometijom masa (LC-MS/MS). Metoda je validirana u skaladu sa Odlukom Europske komisije (2002/657/EC) pomoću računalnog programa InterVAL Plus te primijenjena za analizu sulfonamida u uzorcima meda prikupljenih iz različitih dijelova Hrvatske.

Abstract (english)

Sulfonamides are widely used in human and veterinary medicine for prevention and treatment of diseases. The consequence of excessive use of antibiotics for therapeutic purposes and as growth promoters animals leads to the emergence of resistant strains of bacteria. Antibiotic resistance represents a global public health problem due to the steadily rising number of resistant bacteria on the one hand, and the lack of antibiotics capable of efficiently treating infections caused by such multidrug resistant bacteria, on the other. For these reasons, it is necessary to control sulfonamides in bee products as one of the guidelines of veterinary public health in order to protect final consumers and prevent the spread of resistance. Specific legislation protects consumers from exposure to potentially harmful residues of veterinary medicines, in food of animal origin (Directive 96/23). The aim of this study was to deployment confirmatory methods for determination of sulfonamides in honey samples. For all samples the same procedure was used solid phase extraction (SPE) and the analytes are determined by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The method has been validated, in accordance with EU Commission Decision 2002/657/EC by a computer program interval Plus and applied to the analysis of sulfonamides in honey samples collected from different parts of Croatian.
