Abstract

U ovom istraživanju proučavana je proizvodnja etanola pomoću kvasca Saccharomyces cerevisiae na svježem soku i na svježim rezancima šećerne repe. Proizvodnja etanola na svježem soku šećerne repe provedena je u bioreaktoru s mješalom, a na svježim rezancima šećerne repe u horizontalnom rotirajućem cijevnom bioreaktoru (HRCB). Tijekom proizvodnje etanola na svježem soku šećerne repe šaržnim postupkom dobiveno je 63,28 g/L etanola (8,02 % v/v) uz produktivnost bioprocesa od 0,51 g/Lh, a šaržnim postupkom s pritokom supstrata 92,34 g/L (11,7 % v/v), uz produktivnost bioprocesa od 0,533 g/Lh. Proizvodnja etanola na svježim rezancima šećerne repe u HRCB-u s 16,7 % (v/m) inokuluma rezultirala je koncentracijom etanola od 56,1 g/L (7,13 % v/v) uz produktivnost bioprocesa od 0,769 g/Lh. Daljnje povećanje količine inokuluma nije rezultiralo značajnim povećanjem uspješnosti proizvodnje etanola u HRCB-u.

Abstract (english)

In this research, the production of ethanol on the raw sugar beet juice, as well as on the raw sugar beet cossettes, with Saccharomyces cerevisiae was studied. Ethanol production on the raw sugar beet juice was examined in the stirred tank bioreactor, while solid state fermentation on the raw sugar beet cossettes was studied in horizontal rotating tubular bioreactor (HRTB). During batch ethanol production on the raw sugar beet juice observed ethanol concentration was 63,28 g/L (8,02 % v/v) and bioprocess productivity of 0,51 g/Lh, while in fed batch cultivation 92,34 g/L (11,7 % v/v) with the bioprocess productivity of 0,533 g/Lh. At the same time, ethanol production in HRTB on the raw suger beet cossettes with 16,7 % (v/m raw sugar beet cossettes) inoculum resulted in ethanol concentration of 56,1 g/L (7,13 % v/v) and bioprocess productivity of 0,769 g/Lh. Further increase of inoculum quantity did not resulted in significant increase of ethanol production efficiency in HRTB.
