Abstract

Kroz 60 dana obrađivana je sintetska otpadna voda na bazi glukoze, amonijevog klorida i peptona biološkom razgradnjom u membranskom bioreaktoru s uronjenim membranama. Kod starosti mulja od 25 dana brzina nitrifikacije iznosila je 0,69 mg N/g MLSS/h, a brzina denitrifikacija 0,96 mg N/g MLSS/h, dok je kod kod starosti mulja od 250 dana brzina nitrifikacije bila 1,88 mg N/g MLSS/h, a brzina denitrifikacija 1,31 mg N/g MLSS/h. Uz naizmjeničnu aeraciju bilo je moguće smanjiti koncentraciju dušika s 80 mg/L na vrijednosti manje od zakonski propisanih. Vođenjem procesa uz starost mulja od 25 dana primijećen je gubitak nitrifikacijske aktivnosti, koja je ponovo uspostavljena povećanjem starosti mulja i dodatkom mikroelemenata u otpadnu vodu. Upotrebom strujanja suspenzije aktivnog mulja preko membrane u fazi bez aeracije uspješno je usporeno začepljivanje membrane. Obradom uz kontinuirani protok sintetske vode te uz prekid filtracije u fazi bez aeracije dobivena je izlazna voda slične kvalitete, a filtracija je u oba slučaja bila stabilna.

Abstract (english)

The experiment of biological wastewater treatment was carried out during 60 days on synthetic wastewater based on glucose, ammonium chloride and peptone in membrane bioreactor with submerged membranes. With sludge retention time (SRT) of 25 days specific nitrification rate was 0.69 mg N/g MLSS/h and specific denitrification rate was 0.96 mg N/g MLSS/h, respectively, while with SRT of 250 days specific nitrification rate was 1.88 mg N/g MLSS/h and specific denitrification rate was 1.31 mg N/g MLSS/h, respectively. With intermittent aeration it was possible to reduce nitrogen concentration from 80 mg/L to values less then required by legislation. While performing the treatment process with SRT of 25 days a loss of nitrification activity was observed and nitrification activity was re-established by increasing the SRT and by including trace elements in the wastewater. By using flow of the mixed liquor over the membrane surface during the anoxic phase, membrane fouling was successfully mitigated. Treatment with continuous flow of synthetic wastewater as well as with stoppage of filtration during the anoxic phase gave effluent of similar quality and the filtration in both cases was stabile.
