Abstract

Praškasti materijali sve se češće koriste i proizvode u prehrambenoj industriji. Ponašanje prahova prilikom raznih operacija uvjetovano je velikim brojem faktora kao što su; osobine i sastav praha, okolina i oprema koja se koristi u prehrambenoj industriji. Kako će se pojedini praškasti materijal ponašati tijekom proizvodnje moguće je predvidjeti različitim metodama. Upotreba Powder flow analysera pripada u pouzdane metode za određivanje protoka prahova i daje nam vrijednosti važne za njihovo definiranje. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je steći uvid u značajke tečenja praškastih materijala pomoću Powder Flow analysera tvrtke Stable Microsystem. Uz mjerenje protoka (Powder Flow Speed Dependency test) napravljene su granulometrijske analiza prahova kako bi se uvidio utjecaj veličine čestica na protok materijala.

Abstract (english)

Industry uses different kinds of powder materials, which are transported, stored and processed. Powder flow behaviour during those operations is affected by powder properties and composition, environment conditions and properties of used equipment. It is of great importance to ensure optimal conditions for powder flow. Otherwise, problems like production stoppage, loss of material, decrease in capacity and questionable product quality may occur. In order to avoid possible problems, it is necessary to know powder flow properties associated with the ability of the powder to flow. The aim of this study was to achieve insight in flow properties of different food powders and the influence of their particle size by measuring powder flow properties with powder flow analyzer. Powder flow was analysed by Powder Flow analyser produced by Stable Microsystems Company. By measuring particle size and flow of each food powder we can achieve a complete picture about its behaviour during the flow and how particle size difference affects it.
