Abstract

Smjernice za prehranu nogometaša su do sada u svijetu relativno dobro razrađene, no jedinstvene preporuke se ne mogu primijeniti na specifičnu populaciju nogometaša koji poste za vrijeme Ramazana. Cilj je ovog rada saznati o promjenama njihovih životnih i prehrambenih navika te na koji način to utječe na njihove sposobnosti na treningu ili utakmici.U tu svrhu provedeno je istraživanje s pet poluprofesionalnih nogometaša. Za ovu svrhu kreiranim upitnikom je utvrđeno da dnevna apstinencija od tekućine rezultira hipohidracijom koja stvara veći problem nego suzdržavanje od unosa hrane. Idealno vrijeme za trening je predvečer, nedostatak sna se može nadoknaditi kratkim dnevnim epizodama spavanja, a prehranu određeni ispitanici mogu korigirati u svrhu postizanja što bolje nogometne izvedbe.

Abstract (english)

The diet of football players has been relatively well researched, but these general recommendations cannot be applied to a specific population of football players, those who fast during the time of Ramadan. The aim of this research is to learn about the changes of their living and eating habits as well as how this affects their abilities in trainings or matches. Subjects were five semiprofessional football players from different backgrounds who completed specially designed questionnaire. The following facts have been found out: liquid abstinence during the day results in hipohydration, which is perceived as more serious problem than food abstinence. The ideal training time is early evening hours, and the lack of sleep can be compensated by brief daily episodes of sleep. The diet of some subjects can be corrected in order to improve their football performance.
