Abstract

Istraživano je začepljivanje membrana u membranskom bioreaktoru pri filtraciji aktivnog mulja. Izmjereni kritični fluks sustava bio je 20 Lm-2h-1. Uranjanjem membrane u aktivni mulj primijećeno je začepljivanje uzrokovano taloženjem čestica na površinu membrane. Začepljenje membrane raslo je s povećanjem fluksa tako da je pri filtraciji uz relaksaciju membrane pri fluksevima 25, 35 i 45 Lm-2h-1 pad permeabilnosti iznosio 2327,2, 3198,5 i 3783,4 Lm-2h-1. Utjecaj otpora filtraciji uslijed taloženja tvari na površinu membrane pri tome je bio 6 puta veći od otpora uzrokovanog stvaranjem filtracijskog kolača. Najbrže začepljivanje zabilježeno je pri kontinuiranoj filtraciji fluksom 25 Lm-2h-1 bez relaksacije od 4660,63 Lm-2h-1. Pri kontinuiranoj filtraciji fluksom od 6,82 Lm-2h-1 kroz 22 dana došlo je do umjerenog začepljivanja membrana. Pranjem membrana otopinom natrijevog hipoklorita bilo moguće potpuno očistiti membranu pri čemu je ustanovljena je veća učinkovitost pranja samim uranjanjem membrana uz aeraciju nego filtracijom. Također je ustanovljen pozitivan učinak pranja otopinom HCl-a na uklanjanje taloga kamenca s membrane.

Abstract (english)

Fouling of membrane in the membrane bioreactor during the filtration of the activated sludge was investigated. The measured critical flux of the system was 20 L m-2 h-1. Fouling of the membrane measured by the membrane immersion in the activated sludge was caused by sedimentation of particles on the membrane surface. Fouling of membrane increased by increasing the flux so that by filtrating with relaxation of membrane with fluxes 25, 35 and 45 Lm-2h-1 permeability dropped by 2327.2, 3198.5 and 3783.4 Lm-2h-1, respectively. Filtration resistance by sedimentation of particles on the membrane surface was 6 times bigger then the resistance caused by forming of the filtration cake. The strongest fouling of the membrane was observed during the constant filtration with 25 Lm-2h-1 flux without relaxation where permeability dropped by 4660.63 Lm-2h-1. During continuous filtration with 6.82 Lm-2h-1 flux during 22 days fouling of the membrane was moderate. Cleaning with the hypochlorite solution, initial permeability could be restored and higher efficiency was established by immersion of the membrane then by filtration. Positive impact was also established for cleaning with HCl solution for removal of scale sediments on the membrane.
