Abstract

Uslijed sve stro ih zakonskih propisa o duhanu, proizvođači duhanskih proizvoda su prisiljeni smanjiti koncentraciju štetnih sastojaka u duhanskome dimu. Osim metoda genetičke manipulacije samim biljkama, smanjenje je moguće postići i uporabom različitih neduhanskih sirovina u proizvodnji. Rezultati su pokazali da se smanjenje koncentracije nikotina, tara i ugljikovog monoksida u duhanskome dimu može postići primjenom cigaretnih papira veće poroznosti, kao i primjenom filtera koji razrjeđuju glavnu struju duhanskoga dima.

Abstract (english)

Due to the restrictions in tobacco law, tobacco companies are forced to decrease toxic substances content in tobacco smoke. Besides genetically modifying tobacco plants, reduction of toxic substances could be conducted by using different non-tobacco materials during production process. Results had shown that decrease in nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide content in tobacco smoke could be reached by using more porous cigarette paper as much as by using filters that dilute main stream of tobacco smoke.
