Abstract

Eksperimentalno određivanje raspodjele vremena zadržavanja je utemeljeno na injektiranju inertne tvari u bioreaktor i njene raspodjele na izlazu. Time se postigao uvid u hidrodinamiku membranskog bioreaktora, fundamentalne jedinice industrijskog pogona. Dobiveni rezultati su uspoređeni sa modelom idealnog membranskog reaktora i bila su vidljiva neznatna odstupanja od idealnog miješanja. Praćena je ovisnost prosječnog vremena zadržavanja o različitim protocima kapljevine i zraka i primijećen je pad vrijednosti sa porastom brzine protoka. U usporedbi sa novom membranom, membrana stara 3 godine je pokazala promjene vrijednosti prosječnog vremena zadržavanja, što pripisujemo starosti, smanjenju permeabilnosti membrane.

Abstract (english)

Residence time distribution of a membrane bioreactor was experimentally determined based on injection of a tracer into reactor as input signal and its distribution was evaluated in the output flow (response). The aim is to study hidrodinamycs of membrane reactor, which is fundamental unit of a wastewater treatment plant. The results were compared with model of ideal membrane reactor and there small deviations are observed. Determined is dependence of average time residence on liquid and gas flowrates, and observed is decrease of the average time with increase of gas flow rate. Obtained results are compared with the experiments conducted 3 years ago, and significant increase in the average residence time is observed, which is contributed to membrane changes during 3 years of application.
