Abstract

U svrhu istraživanja procesa čepljenja membrane u membranskom bioreaktoru s uronjenom membranom uspoređivane su filtracijske karakteristike dvaju membranskih bioreaktora, XJ 3 tvrtke Kubota i ZW 10 tvrtke Zenon. Kubota membranski bioreaktor koristi okvirne pločaste membrane, a Zenon membrane u obliku šupljih vlakana. Proces obrade modelne vode praćen je tijekom 35 dana. Usporedbom eksperimentalnih podataka za transmembranski tlak, permeabilnost i kritični fluks vidljivo je da ne postoji značajni utjecaj oblika membrane (okvirna pločasta ili šuplja vlakna) na začepljivanje. Postavljanjem matematičkog modela čepljanja membrane dobivena je krivulja smanjenja fluksa s vremenom koja dobro opisuje vrijednosti dobivene eksperimentalnim putem. 29-tog radnog dana, zbog začepljivanja membrane provedeno je kemijsko čišćenje membrana u trajanju od dva sata. Iz dobivenih razultata određivanja permeabilnosti vidljivo je da kemijsko čišćenje nije bilo u potpunosti učinkovito.

Abstract (english)

To investigate membrane fouling process in submerged membrane bioreactor, filtrating characteristics of two membrane bioreactors, XJ 3 by Kubota and ZW 10 by Zenon were compared. Kubota membrane bioreactor uses plate and frame membranes, and Zenon uses hollow fibre membranes. The process of model wastewater treatment was monitored for 35 days. Comparing experimental data for transmembrane pressure, permeability and critical flux it is shown that the form of a membrane (plate and frame or hollow fibre) has no significant influence on membrane fouling. Very good agreement is found between the experimental and simulated data which were gained by modeling of membrane fouling. 0n 29th work day, membranes were cleaned chemically during two hours because they were fouled. From the results of permeability measuring it is shown that the chemical cleaning was not sufficient.
