Abstract

Svrha ovog rada bila je pratiti proizvodnju jaja nesilica Isa Brown koje su bile smještene u kavezima, odnosno baterijama. Nesilice Isa Brown su poznate po svojoj visokoj proizvodnji jaja koja otprilike iznosi 290 jaja i 18 kg jajne mase po nesilici. Istraživanje je utvrdilo parametre kao što su broj jaja i jajne mase po tjednu, kumulativna proizvodnja jaja i kumulativna jajna masa o nesilici. Također, sadržavao je parametre kao što su mortalitet nesilica i udio težinskih klasa jaja. Usporedba je napravljena sa proizvodnjom jaja gdje su nesilice bile podvrgnute mitarenju kroz šest tjedana od 35. tjedna starosti. U ovom slučaju, period nesivosti je bio puno duži, a proizvodnja jaja po kokoši značajno viša.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this research was to monitor egg production of the Isa Brown layers that were housed in battery cages. Isa Brown layers are known for its high egg production of approximately 290 eggs and 18 kg of egg mass per hen. The research determined the parameters as number of eggs and egg weight per week, cumulative egg production and cumulative egg mass per hen. Also, it contained parameters as hen mortality and shares of egg weight classes. A comparison was made with egg production were hens were stressed for six weeks at 35. week of age. In this case, laying period was longer and egg production per hen was significantly higher.
