Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je priprava četiri mješovite kulture bakterija i kvasca, porijeklom iz laboratorijske zbirke mikroorganizama, kojima se postigla aerobna biorazgradnja četiriju azo boja: plave, narančaste, bordo i zelene, prisutnih u lugovima nakon industrijske proizvodnje istih. Anaerobni stupanj obrade nužno potreban za biorazgradnju azo boja uspješno je proveden uporabom anaerobnog aktivnog mulja porijeklom iz obrade otpadne vode industrije šećera prilagođenog na boje kao supstrat. Na temelju provedenih aerobnih pokusa postignuto je bolje razumijevanje i dat je prijedlog puteva aerobne biorazgradnje azo boja. Provedbom aerobnih šaržnih pokusa pomoću pripravljenih mješovitih kultura i šaržne anaerobne biorazgradnje provedene pomoću aktivnog anaerobnog mulja, prilagođenog na boje, odabrani su najpovoljniji bioprocesni čimbenici za daljnju provedbu kontinuiranog aerobno-anaerobnog procesa biorazgradnje azo boja u laboratorijskom mjerilu.

Abstract (english)

The main goal of this work was the preparation of four mixed bacterial and yeast cultures, from laboratory collection, which were sucessfull in aerobic biodegradation of four azo dyes: blue, orange, bordo and green, present in mother lyes after industrial production of those dyes. The anaerobic step necessarily needed for biodegradation of azo dyes was achieved through the use of the adapted active anaerobic sluge from a waste water treatment plant of the sugar industry. On the basis of aerobic experiments a better understanding of potential biodegradation pathways for azo dyes has been presumed and given. On the basis of aerobic experiments, based on the use of mixed bacterial and yeast cultures, and anaerobic experiments, based on the use of the adapted anaerobic sludge, the most appropriate bioprocess parameters have been chosen for the further performance of a continuous laboratory combined aerobic-anaerobic process for azo dyes biodegradation.
