Abstract

Istraživanja posljednjih godina pokazuju kako se odnos između unosa zaslađenih napitaka i mlijeka promijenio kod adolescenata, što je potaknulo zdravstvene probleme poput pretilosti, dijabetesa tipa 2, osteoporoze i ostalih kroničnih oboljenja. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi postoji li u ispitivanoj skupini od 45 učenika iz Velike Gorice promjene u konzumaciji kroz period od tri godine te uzrokuje li povećana potrošnja zaslađenih napitaka smanjenje konzumacije mlijeka i mliječnih proizvoda, kao što je bilo očekivano. Sekundarni cilj istraživanja je bio educirati učenike o važnosti unosa mliječnih proizvoda u doba adolescencije. Istraživanje je provedeno metodom 24-satnog prisjećanja. Rezultatima je utvrđena uočljivija zamjena mlijeka sa zaslađenim napicima kod dječaka nego kod djevojčica.

Abstract (english)

In the last few years, research has shown that the relationship between milk and sugar sweetened beverages intake has changed among adolescence, with health concern such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and other chronic diseases. The aim of this study was to determine whether in the study group of 45 students from Velika Gorica there were changes in consumption over a three-year period and whether increased consumption of sugar sweetened beverages caused a decrease in consumption of milk and other dairy products, as it was expected. A secondary objective of this study was to educate pupils about the importance of dairy products intake during adolescence. The study was conducted using the 24-hour recall method. The results showed that milk replacement with sugar sweetened beverages was more noticeable in boys than in girls.
