Abstract

Iz uzetih uzoraka vode na toku rijeke Gacke, uspješno su izolirani rodovi Chlorella, Scenedesmus i Chlamydomonas. Određivanjem sastava utvrđeno je da su neki sojevi imali i do 35 % ugljikohidrata i proteina te 15 % lipida u suhoj tvari biomase (s. tv.). Daljnjom analizom lipida utvrđena je prisutnost određenih masnih kiselina od kojih su najzastupljenije bile palmitinska i margarinska kiselina te jednostruko i višestruko nezasićene masne kiseline sa 18 C atoma. Najzastupljeniji pigmenti bili su klorofil a (do 4,7 % s. tv.) i klorofil b (do 2,3 % s. tv.), a uz koje su još detektirani: ß-karoten, feofitin, lutein, violaksantin i neoksantin. Najpogodniji izvori ugljika za uzgoj izoliranih mikroalgi bili su glukoza, fruktoza i octena kiselina, a izvori dušika kvaščev ekstrakt, pepton i natrijev nitrat.

Abstract (english)

The genera Chlorella, Scenedesmus and Chlamydomonas were succesfully isolated from the water samples taken from the Gacka river. By determining the composition, it was found that some strains had up to 35% of carbohydrates and proteins, and 15% of the lipids in the dry matter of biomass. Further lipid analysis revealed the presence of certain fatty acids, most of which were palmitic and margaric acid and also a single and multiply unsaturated fatty acids with 18 C atoms. The most common pigments were chlorophyll a (up to 4,7% w/w) and chlorophyll b (up to 2,3% w/w). The β- carotene , pheophytin, lutein, violaxantin and neoxanthin were also detected. The most preferred sources of carbon for the cultivation of isolated microalgae were glucose, fructose and acetic acid, while yeast extract, peptone and sodium nitrate were optimal as the nitrogen sources.
