Procjena unosa voća u osnovnoškolske djece

Abstract

Pravilna prehrana ključna je za očuvanje dobroga zdravlja odraslih osoba te čini osnovu pravilnog rasta i razvoja djece i adolescenata. Cilj ovog rada bio je procijeniti prehrambeni unos školske djece u dvije osnovne škole tijekom jedne školske godine analizom školskih jelovnika. Skupina voća je izdvojena, jer je adekvatan unos voća povezan sa smanjenim mortalitetom i morbiditetom od mnogih kroničnih bolesti, a osim toga bogato je vitaminima, mineralnim tvarima i prehrambenim vlaknima. Školski jelovnici su analizirani u računalnom programu Prehrana. Prehrambeni unos energije i hranjivih tvari je uspoređivan unutar iste škole s obzirom na sezonu jesen/zima i proljeće/ljeto, a unos voća unutar iste škole s obzirom na sezone te između dvije osnovne škole. Analiza rezultata je utvrdila statistički značajnu razliku u unosu natrija (p=0,034) i vitamina C (p<0,001) između sezona u osnovnoj školi 1. Rezultati su pokazali da postoji statistički značajna razlika u unosu skupine bobičasto voće (p=0,004) i skupina jabučasto, koštuničavo i južno voće (p<0,001) između dvije osnovne škole. Prosječan unos voća je u skladu s preporukama u obje osnovne škole, a unos energije i vlakana je u skladu s preporukama za djecu dobi 7 do 9 godina u osnovnoj školi 1, dok je za djecu dobi 10 do 13 godina manji od preporuka u obje škole.

Abstract (english)

Adequate nutrition is key to preserving good health of adults and making the basis for proper growth and development of children and adolescents. The aim of this study was to evaluate nutritional food intake among school children in two primary schools during the period of one school-year, applying the method analysis of food in school menus. The fruit group is separated due adequate intake of fruit is associated with reduced mortality and morbidity from many chronic diseases, and is also rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. School menus were analysed and fed into computer programme „Prehrana“. Dietary intake of energy and nutrients were compared within the same school, taking into consideration autumn/winter and spring/summer seasons, and fruit intake was compared within the same school according to seasons, and between two primary schools. The result analysis has shown a statistically significant difference in sodium (p=0,034) and vitamin C (p<0,001) intake between seasons in primary school no.1. The results have shown that, between schools, there is a statistically significant difference in group berry fruit (p=0,004) and intake of apple, pome and tropical fruit (p<0,001). The average fruit intake was in accordance with the recommendation in both primary schools. Energy and fiber intake was in accordance with the recommendation for children age 7 to 9 in primary school no.1 while the intake for children age 10 to 13 was lower than the recommendation in both schools.
