Abstract

Bioplin je plinovito gorivo proizvedeno anaerobnom digestijom organske tvari. Sastoji se od metana (55–70 % v/v), ugljikovog dioksida (30–45 % v/v) i male količine drugih spojeva. Koristi se uglavnom za proizvodnju električne i toplinske energije, ali također i kao gorivo za motore s unutarnjim izgaranjem. Za proizvodnju bioplina anaerobnom digestijom mogu se koristiti različite sirovine, uključujući životinjski izmet, stajski gnoj i gnojnicu, silažu i obnovljive lignocelulozne sirovine, organske nusproizvode prehrambene industrije i klaonica, biorazgradivu frakciju čvrstog komunalnog otpada te mikrobnu biomasu. Tema ovog završnog rada su karakteristike sirovina prikladnih za anaerobnu digestiju.

Abstract (english)

Biogas is gaseous fuel produced by anaerobic digestion of an organic matter. It consists of methane (55–70% by volume), carbon dioxide (30–45% by volume), and small amounts of other compounds. Biogas is mainly used for electricity and heat generation, but it can also be used as a fuel for internal combustion engines. Various feedstocks can be used for biogas production by anaerobic digestion, including animal feces, manure and slurry, silage and renewable lignocellulosic raw materials, organic byproducts from food industry and slaughterhouses, biodegradable fraction of municipal solid waste and microbial biomass. This final work will discuss potential feedstocks for anaerobic digestion.
