Abstract

Zbog negativnog utjecaja industrije na okoliš, nastoji se pronaći način proizvodnje koji je ekološki prihvatljiviji. U industriji su se stoga, umjesto štetnih organskih otapala, počele koristiti ionske kapljevine. Ovaj rad daje uvid u opća svojstva ionskih kapljevina te mogućnost njihove modifikacije promjenom njihove strukture, odnosno anionskog i kationskog sastava. U radu je dan i pregled područja primjene različitih ionskih kapljevina u procesima vezanima uz farmaceutsku industriju, od same formulacije farmaceutskih pripravaka pa do modificiranja načina dopreme lijeka do ciljnog mjesta djelovanja te modifikacije samog puta djelovanja. Osim toga, opisana je i biološka aktivnost ionskih kapljevina (antimikrobna, antitumorska, antioksidativna) te njihova toksičnost i biorazgradivost.

Abstract (english)

Due to the negative impact of industry on the environment, attempts are being made to find a more environmentally friendly method of production. Therefore, ionic liquids are used in the industry instead of harmful organic solvents. This thesis gives an insight into the general properties of ionic liquids and the possibility of their modification by changing their structure, which is caused by changing their anionic and cationic composition. This work also gives an overview of the applications of various ionic liquids in processes related to the pharmaceutical industry, from drug formulation to modification of drug delivery methods to the target site and the mode of action of the drug. In addition, the biological activity of ionic liquids (antimicrobial, antitumor, antioxidant), as well as their toxicity and biodegradability, are described.
