Abstract

Nanoceluloza je prirodan i biorazgradivi materijal dobiven iz obnovljivih lignoceluloznih sirovina kao sto su drvna biomasa, poljoprivredni ostaci i ostaci iz proizvodnje celuloze i papira. Izuzetna fizikalno-kemijska svojstva omogućavaju primjenu u proizvodnji materijala posebnih svojstava i primjenu u biomedicini, farmaceutskoj industriji, proizvodnji papira i konstrukcijskih materijala. Ipak, do sada je skup i zahtjevan proces proizvodnje uz korištenje kiselina i intenzivni mehanički tretman ograničavao širu primjenu nanoceluloze. Danas se istražuju novi postupci proizvodnje nanoceluloze korištenjem novih tehnologija, a s ciljem smanjenog utroška energije i proizvodnje nanoceluloze naprednih svojstava. Svojstva nanoceluloze vezana su uz vrstu i zastupljenost funkcionalnih skupina na površini koje određuju svojstva i primjenu nanoceluloze. U ovome radu bit će opisane metode proizvodnje različitih vrsta nanoceluloze iz lignoceluloznih sirovina kao i utjecaj pojedine metode na fizikalno-kemijska svojstva nanoceluloze. Posebno će biti prikazane biotehnološke metode proizvodnje korištenjem mikrobnih stanica i enzima.

Abstract (english)

Nanocellulose is a natural and biodegradable material obtained from renewable lignocellulosic raw materials such as wood biomass, agricultural residues and residues from pulp and paper production. Its exceptional mechanical properties enable it to be used in the production of specific materials and applications in medicine, pharmaceutical industry, paper and construction materials. However, until now, a complex and demanding process of production using acid and intensive mechanical processing has limited its wider application of nanocellulose. New methods of nanocellulose production are being explored using new technologies with the aim of reducing energy consumption and obtaining advanced nanocellulose properties. The nanocellulose properties are related to the type and representation of functional groups on the surface determine the properties and application of nanocellulose. This thesis will describe the methods of nanocelluloses production from lignoceluloses biomass as well as the influence of an individual method on the physico-chemical properties of nanocellulose. In particular, biotechnological production methods will be presented using microbial cells and enzymes.
