Abstract

Adolescencija je period između djetinjstva i odrasle dobi. Energetske potrebe adolescenata su povećane jer trebaju podržati rast i razvoj u pubertetu. Upravo iz tog razloga je pravilna prehrana od iznimne važnosti. Učenički domovi provode organiziranu prehranu za učenike te je bitno da ona zadovoljava njihove energetske i nutritivne potrebe. U ovom radu su prikupljeni podaci prehrambenih ponuda u učeničkim domovima s ciljem utvrđivanja prehrambene ponude i postojanja razlika odnosno sličnosti između ponuda kontinentalne i primorske Hrvatske. Za utvrđivanje razlika odnosno sličnosti među regijama korišten je t-test te je zbog ograničenja deskriptivne statistike primjenjena klaster analiza i analiza prema glavnim komponentama. Rezultati t-testa pokazuju da ne postoji značajna razlika između energetske i nutritivne ponude primorske i kontinenatlne Hrvatske. Primjena alata multivarijantne analize kao što je analiza glavnih komponenata omogućila je razdvajanje ponude kontinentalne i priobalne regije, ali ne i sezonske ponude. Time su pokazana ograničenja primjena univarijantne statistike te prednost primjene multivarijantne analize koja je u ovom radu pokazala u kojim parametrima se kontinentalna i primorska ponuda značajno razlikuje. Utvrđene su značajne razlike u sadržaju ukupne energije, masti, zasićenih masti, ugljikohidrata, proteina, natrija, željeza i kolesterola, u regionalnim ponudama.

Abstract (english)

Adolescence is the period between childhood and adulthood. Energy requirements of adolescents are increased because of the need to support growth and development during puberty. It is for this reason proper nutrition is essential. Boarding homes conduct organized meals for students and it is important that they meet their energy and nutritional needs. In this study was collected the data of food offerings in student dormitories in order to determine food offers and the existence of differences and similarities between the offer of continental and coastal Croatia. To determine the differences between the regions t-test was used. Due to the limitations of descriptive statistics, cluster analysis was applied as well as the analysis of the main components. The results of t-test showed that there was no significant difference between energy and nutrient offer of coastal and continental Croatia. The application of mul-tivariate analysis tools such as the principal component analysis allowed the separation of continental and coastal region, but not seasonal offers. The results demonstrated the limita-tions of the application of the univariate statistics and the advantage of using multivariate analysis which has shown in which parameters continental and coastal offer is significantly different. Significant differences were identified in the content of total energy, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, protein, sodium, iron and cholesterol in regional offers.
