Abstract

Rad obuhvaća općenito temu psorijaze, vrste psorijaze, konvencionalne načine liječenja te alternativne načine liječenja u vidu mijenjanja životnog stila te konzumacije preporučenih nutrijenata kao što su omega-3 masne kiseline, antioksidativni vitamini i minerali (vitamin E, koenzim Q10, selen, ...) čiji su korisni učinci dokazani brojnim istraživanjima i istraživanjima provedenim na pacijentima s različitim stupnjevima i oblicima psorijaze. Osim preporuke koje nutrijente konzumirati, dani su i savjeti koju hranu izbjegavati jer može dovesti do pogoršanja stanja, a dokazi o potencijalnoj štetnosti su dobiveni istraživanjima na štakorima. Uz samu problematiku psorijaze, rad sadrži i podatke o povezanosti i prevalenciji još nekih bolesti u osoba sa psorijazom kao što su: psorijatični artritis, dijabetes tipa 2, metabolički sindrom te kardiovaskularne bolesti.

Abstract (english)

This paper describes general definition of psoriasis, types of psoriasis, conventional methods of treatment and also alternative methods on how to treat psoriasis in terms of changing the lifestyle, and starting the consumption of certain nutrients such as: omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins and minerals (vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, selenium...) whose beneficial effects have been proven by numerous studies and researches conducted on patients with different degrees and forms of psoriasis. Aside from recomendations which nutrients to consume, there are also advices which food to avoid because it can lead to deterioration, and evidence of the potential harmfull effects were reported in studies made on rats. Along the sole problem of psoriasis, this paper also contains information about the association and the prevalence of some other diseases in people with psoriasis, such as: psoriatic arthritis, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
