Abstract

Lignin je složen polimer vrlo kompleksne strukture, sastavni je dio stanične stijenke biljaka i nastaje u velikim količinama tijekom proizvodnje papira. Lignin je vrijedan izvor za proizvodnju industrijski važnih spojeva, aromatskih spojeva te energije. Obzirom da je fizikalno-kemijska razgradnja lignina neekonomična, te stvara polutante, interes znanstvenika je sve više usmjeren na mikrobnu razgradnju lignina. Biorazgradnja lignina se uglavnom provodi pomoću funga, iako i bakterijaka razgradnja lignina ima svoje prednosti. U biorazgradni lignina sudjeluju ekstracelularni enzimi lignin peroksidaza, mangan ovisna peroksidaza, lakaza, svestrana peroksidaza i peroksidaza dekolorizacije boje. Biorazgradnja lignina pomoću bakterija se odvija pomoću α-proteobakterija, γ-proteobakterija, nekih Firmikuta i aktinomiceta. Različite bakterije upotrebljavaju različite puteve razgradnje lignina.

Abstract (english)

Lignin is a complex polymer with a very complex structure, it is a part of the cell wall of plants and is produced in large quantities during paper production. Lignin is a valuable source for the production of industrially important compounds, aromatic compounds and energy. Given that the physico-chemical degradation of lignin is uneconomical and produces pollutants, the interest of scien-tists is increasingly focused on the microbial degradation of lignin. Biodegradation of lignin is mainly carried out with fungi, although bacterial decomposition of lignin also has its advantages. Extracellu-lar enzymes lignin peroxidase, manganese-dependent peroxidase, laccase, versatile peroxidase and dye decolorization peroxidase participate in the biodegradation of lignin. Biodegradation of lignin by bacteria takes place with α-proteobacteria, γ-proteobacteria, some Firmicutes and actinomycetes. Dif-ferent bacteria use different lignin degradation pathways.
