Abstract

Praćenje nutritivnog statusa je korisno jer je ono pokazatelj trenutnog zdravstvenog stanja pojedinca i mogući prognostički faktor njegovog budućeg stanja, a definira se kao stanje tijela koje je rezultat unosa, apsorpcije i iskoristivosti nutrijenata te utjecaja specifičnog fiziološkog i patološkog statusa. Za procjenu nutritivnog statusa se koriste podaci o unosu nutrijenata, antropometrija i sastav tijela, biokemijski podaci, klinički podaci. Antropometrija je najjednostavnija i najneinvazivnija metoda za procjenu nutritivnog stanja, a koriste se i metode koje prate sastav tijela, kao što su bioelektrična impendancija, denzitometrija, magnetska rezonanca i računalna tomografija. U radu su korišteni sljedeći modeli u procjeni pretilosti populacijske skupine: indeks tjelesne mase, opseg struka te omjer struka i bokova. Uspoređene su dobivene vrijednosti za postotak pretile populacije te su ustanovljene razlike koje mogu imati značajne posljedice. Također je ukazano na važnost educiranosti onih koji te pokazatelje pretilosti koriste i važnost nutricioniste u samoj procjeni istog.

Abstract (english)

Assessment of nutritional status is useful because it is an indicator of the current health status of the individual and the possible prognostic factor in his future state, and is defined as the condition of the body as a result of entry, absorption and utilization of nutrients and the impact of specific physiological and pathological status. For the assessment of the nutritional status are used data on intake of nutrients, anthropometry and body composition, biochemical data and clinical data. Anthropometry is the simplest and minimal invasive method for assessing nutritional status, but also are used methods that monitor body composition, such as bioelectrical impedance, densitometry, magnetic resonance imaging and computerized tomography. We have used the following models in the assessment of obesity population groups: body mass index, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio. Conducted was a comparison of the percentage of obese population and revealed are differences that can have significant consequences. The importance of education and those who used indicators of obesity and the importance of nutritionists in the judgment of the same was pointed out as the primary conclusion.
