Abstract

Pripremljeni obroci za aplikaciju putem sondi, korišteni u ovom istraživanju su formulacije obroka koje se obično pripremaju kod kuće ili u bolnicama miješanjem kompletnog obroka u tekućinu koja je dovoljno rijetka da prođe kroz sondu. Važno je koristiti one koje osiguravaju dovoljne količine makro i mikronutrijenata potrebnih za održavanje ili oporavak nutritivnog statusa pacijenta. Cilj ovog rada bio je odrediti sadržaj esencijalnih i toksičnih elemenata u pripremljenim uzorcima sondi namijenjenih pacijentima na bolničkom liječenju primjenom metode ICP-MS, te usporediti dobivene vrijednosti s teoretskim. Procijenjeno je koliko se pojedinim obrocima zadovoljavaju preporučene vrijednosti unosa esencijalnih elemenata i udjeli procijenjenog unosa toksičnih elemenata na dan. Formule zadovoljavaju dnevne preporučene potrebe za Ca, Mg i K, no ne za Zn, Fe i Se. Izmjerena koncentracija elemenata razlikuje se od teoretske vrijednosti, veća je za elemente Mg, Ca, K, Na, a manja za Fe. Nema opasnosti od štetnog učinka Cd, Pb i As na zdravlje ljudi.

Abstract (english)

Prepared formulas are usually made at home or in hospitals by mixing a complete meal into a liquid that is thin enough to pass through the feeding tube. Ones that can provide correct amounts of macro and micronutrients should be used. The aim of this study was to determine the contents of essential and toxic elements in prepared samples intended for patients undergoing hospital treatment using the ICP-MS method, and to compare obtained values with theoretical ones. It was estimated how much individual meals meet the recommended values for essential elements, as well as intake of toxic elements Cd, Pb and As per day. The daily recommended needs for Ca, Mg and K was met, but not for Zn, Fe and Se. The measured concentration of elements differs from the theoretical value, and is higher for the Mg, Ca, K, Na, and lower for Fe. There is no risk of adverse effects of Cd, Pb and As on human health.
