Abstract

Posljednjih godina pretilost je postala jedan od najvećih javnozdravstvenih problema koji može dovesti do značajnih zdravstvenih problema. Razumijevanje višestruke prirode pretilosti i njezinih temeljnih uzroka ključno je za osmišljavanje učinkovitih javnozdravstvenih intervencija te su nutricionisti neizostavni članovi multidisciplinarnih timova za kreiranje nacionalnih programa unaprjeđenja zdravlja opće populacije. Konceptualni modeli, odnosno infografike, koriste se kao komunikacijski alat kojim se široj zajednici vizualno predstavlja podatke/informacije ili znanja na lako razumljiv način. Stoga je u ovom radu predstavljena osnovna forma konceptualnih modela i informacija koje prenose te je prikazan i javnozdravstveni pristup rješavanju pretilosti u formi infografike te se naglašava važnost javnozdravstvenog nutricionizma kao strateškog pristupa u prevenciji i liječenju rastućeg problema pretilosti.

Abstract (english)

In recent years, obesity has become one of the biggest public health problems that can lead to significant health problems. Understanding the multifaceted nature of obesity and its underlying causes, is the key in designing effective public health interventions where nutritionists are indispensable members of multidisciplinary teams for creating national programs intended to maintain and improve the health of the general population. Conceptual models, or infographics, are used as a communication tool that visually presents data/information or knowledge to the wider community in an easy-to-understand manner. Therefore, this paper presents the basic form of conceptual models and the information they convey, as well as the public health approach to solving obesity in the form of an infographic and emphasizes the importance of public health nutrition as a strategic approach in the prevention and treatment of the growing problem of obesity.
