Abstract

Atopijski dermatitis (AD) je kronična upalna bolest kože, a alergija na hranu je prejaka imunološka reakcija na određeni antigen hrane i to su najčešće alergijske bolesti u dječjoj dobi. Klasično liječenje AD-a uključuje primjenu farmakološke terapije za ublažavanje simptoma, a kod alergija na hranu jedina terapija je izbacivanje alergena iz prehrane. Dijetoterapijski pristup kod AD-a i alergije na hranu trebao bi uključivati nutritivnu terapiju u obliku individualno prilagođene eliminacijske dijete ovisno o nutritivnom statusu pacijenta. U cilju sprječavanja nutritivnih deficita često se primjenjuje suplementacija, a pojedini nutrijenti imaju ulogu i komplementarne terapije. Komplementarna terapija podrazumijeva dodatnu potporu konvencionalnoj terapiji, a najčešće korišteni nutrijenti su vitamin D, omega-3 masne kiseline i probiotici. Cilj ovog rada je na temelju dosadašnjih istraživanja odrediti najčešće korištenu i najučinkovitiju dijetoterapiju te komplementarnu terapiju kod djece s AD-om i/ili alergijom na hranu.

Abstract (english)

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, while food allergy is an overa ctive immune response to a specific food antigen, and these are the most common allergic diseases in childhood. The classic treatment for AD involves the use of pharmacological therapy to alleviate symp toms, while for food allergies, the only therapy is to eliminate the allergen from the diet. A dietary therapy approach for AD and food allergies should involve nutritional therapy in the form of individually tailored elimination diets depending on the patient's nutritional status. To prevent nutritional deficits, supple mentation is often applied, and certain nutrients also play a role in complementary therapies. Comple mentary therapy involves additional support to conventional therapy, with the most commonly used nutrients being vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, and probiotics. The aim of this study is to determine the most commonly used and effective dietary therapy and complementary therapy based on previous re search in children with AD and/or food allergies.
