Abstract

Gestacijski dijabetes (šećerna bolest trudnoće) je dijagnoza koja zbog nedavnog uvođenja novih, strožih kriterija zahvaća sve veći broj trudnica. Budući da se u Hrvatskoj svim trudnicama oboljelim od gestacijskog dijabetesa preporučuje univerzalni ogledni jelovnik od 1800 kcal, u istraživanje je uključeno 6 trudnica sa navedenom dijagnozom s ciljem procjene njihovog prehrambenog statusa i određivanja individualnih energetskih i nutritivnih potreba. Trodnevnim dnevnikom prehrane analizirano je pridržavanje preporučenog broja jedinica iz sustava zamjena Američkog udruženja za dijabetes (American Diabetes Association, ADA). Rezultati su pokazali da je univerzalni ogledni jelovnik neadekvatan za 4 od 6 trudnica čije su energetske potrebe veće od 1800 kcal, te da niti jedna trudnica nije konzumirala preporučeni broj jedinica ADA sustava zamjena. Cilj ovog rada bio je i ispitati primjenjivost metode linearnog optimiranja u individualnom planiranju prehrane trudnica s gestacijskim dijabetesom. Rezultati su pokazali da je metoda korisna za izradu konkretnih jelovnika, međutim nije primjenjiva za izradu oglednih jelovnika budući da na taj način izrađeni jelovnici nisu u skladu s preporučenim brojem jedinica ADA sustava zamjena.

Abstract (english)

Gestational diabetes or diabetes of pregnancy is the diagnosis which is affecting an increasing number of pregnant women due to the recent introduction of new, more stringent criteria. Since in Croatia all pregnant women suffering from gestational diabetes are being recommended universal sample menu of 1800 kcal, this study included 6 pregnant women diagnosed with the gestational diabetes, with the aim to evaluate their nutritional status and to to determine their individual energy and nutritional needs . Three-day food diary was used to analyze adherence to the recommended number of units of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) exchange list for diabetes . The results showed that the universal sample menu is inadequate for four of the six pregnant women whose energy demands are greater than reccommended 1800 kcal, and that none of the pregnant women did not consume the recommended number of units from the ADA exchange list. The aim of this study was also to examine the applicability of linear optimisation in individual menu planning for pregnant women with gestational diabetes. The results showed that the method is useful for the development of the specific menus, but it can not be used to create sample menu because the menus created using this method are not in accordance with the recommended number of units of the ADA exchange list.
