Abstract

Kako bi unaprijedili konvencionalne metode biološkog uklanjanja dušika (denitrifikacija i nitrifikacija) te umanjili ili potpuno eliminirali njihove nedostatke, stručnjaci konstantno razvijaju nove, modernije postupke biološkog uklanjanja dušika. Neki od tih postupaka kao što su SHARON®, Anammox, CANON, SHARON/ANAMMOX te postupci bioaugmentacije opisani su u ovom radu. Ovim postupcima postiglo se znatno smanjenje vrijednosti SRT što dovodi do manje potrošnje energije. Također je postupcima bioaugmentacije moguće obogatiti već postojeću bakterijsku kulturu u reaktoru čime se ubrzava postupak obrade otpadne vode. Ove metode još nisu našle širu primjenu i svijetu zbog potrebe za visokostručnim operaterima, no vjerojatno je da će ubrzo nadvladati postojeće konvencionalne postupke.

Abstract (english)

Experts are constantly developing new, modern techniques of biological nitrogen removal (BNR) to improve conventional methods of BNR (denitrification and nitrification) and to minimize or eliminate its imperfections. Some of this techniques as SHARON®, Anammox, CANON, SHARON/ANAMMOX and bioaugmentation are described in this thesis. With these techniques it is possible to work at reduced SRT which results in reduced energy consumption. In addition, by applying bioaugmentation it is possible to enhance present bacterial culture thus speeding up the wastewater treatment. This methods did not find wide range of applications yet because of the need for highly skilled operators, but it is likely that they will soon outcompete present conventional techniques.
