Abstract
U ovom će radu biti prikazane uloge WNT signalnog puta u glioblastomima (GBM) te trenutačni napredak u otkrivanju tj. ciljanju WNT signalnog puta prvenstveno kao antikancerogeni pristup. Bit će iznesena trenutna istraživanja na genskoj i epigenskoj razini, povezanost s kontrolom GBM matičnih stanica i njihovom invazijom te meĎudjelovanje komponenti (cross-talk) WNT signalnog puta s ostalim signalnim putevima u GBM-u. TakoĎer će biti prikazana otkrića agenasa kao potencijalnih inhibitora WNT signalnog puta.
Abstract (english)
In this review will be discussed the roles of WNT signaling in glioblastoma (GBM), and also current headway in locating WNT signaling in anti-cancer approach. Here will be shown and explained the results of the most recent researches, done in genetic and epigenetic field. Also, it will be talked about the connection of those results with the control of GBM steam cells, their invasion and WNT cross-talk with other GBM signaling. The agenses that are discovered as potential inhibitors ofthe Wnt signaling will be also represented.
