Abstract

Na početku 21. stoljeća, pretilost je postala vodeća metabolička bolest u svijetu. Osobito je čest problem pretilosti kod osoba s dijabetesom tipa 2. Stoga je antropometrijskim i dijetetičkim (24h prisjećanje, opći upitnik) metodama procijenjen prehrambeni status, unos energije i makronutrijenata, te prehrambene navike 30 pretilih pacijenata s dijagnosticiranim dijabetesom tipa 2. Prema dobivenim podacima prosječni unosi proteina i masti su u skladu sa američkim prehrambenim referentnim vrijednostima (Dietary Reference Intake, DRI), dok se unos ugljikohidrata nalazi na donjoj granici DRI preporuke. Međutim, prema vrijednosti HbA1c, žene su imale lošiju kontrolu glikemije u odnosu na muškarce. Kod muškaraca je općenito zabilježen veći unos energije, ukupnih masti i manji unos proteina u odnosu na žene.

Abstract (english)

At the beginning of the 21st century, obesity has become the leading metabolic disease in the world. A particularly common problem in people with type 2 diabetes is obesity. Therefore, the anthropometric and dietetic (24h recall, a general questionnaire) methods were estimated nutritional status, energy intake and macronutrients, and dietary habits of 30 obese patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. According to the data the average protein and fat intake is in line with the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI), while intake of carbohydrates is the lower limit of the DRI recommendations. However, according to the valued of HbA1c, women had poorer glycemic control compared to men. Men also reported generally higher intake of energy, total fat and lower protein intake than women.
