Abstract

Svrha rada bila je ispitati toksičnost i mutagenost 4-amino-3,5-diklorobenzojeve kiseline, metabolita klenbuterola. U tu svrhu upotrebljen je standardni Amesov test, pri čemu je korišten soj TA100 bakterije Salmonella typhimurium. Test je proveden sa i bez metaboličke aktivacije. Rezultati Amesovog testa, u oba slučaja (sa i bez aktivacije), pokazuju potencijalno mutageno djelovanje 4-amino-3,5-diklorobenzojeve kiseline na soj TA100 bakterije Salmonella typhimurium u koncentracijama od 1, 5 i 50 μg/mL, dok je pri koncentracijama od 250, 500, 2500 i 5000 μg/mL vidljiv toksičan efekt.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to examine toxicity and mutagenicity of 4-amino-3,5-dichlorobenzoic acid, which is clenbuterol metabolite. We used standard Ames test with strain TA100 of bacteria Salmonella typhimurium. The test was conducted with and without metabolic activation. The results of Ames test, in bouth cases (with and without the activation), show potential mutagenic effect of 4-amino-3,5-dichlorobenzoic acid on strain TA100 of bacteria Salmonella typhimurium, in concentrations of 1, 5, 50 μg/mL, while in higher concentrations of 250, 500, 2500, 5000 μg/mL it has toxic effect.
