Abstract

Šećerna bolest u današnje vrijeme se smatra jednim od najčešćih javnozdravstvenih problema sa sve većom stopom rasta. Nastaje zbog poremećaja u metabolizmu, odnosno izmjeni tvari kojom organizam osigurava potrebnu energiju. U ovom radu praćeni su antropometrijski i biokemijski parametri, te ukupan dnevni energetski unos i unos makronutrijenata metodom 24h prisjećanja kod pacijenata oboljelih od dijabetesa tipa 2, koji su bili na petodnevnoj edukaciji u Dijabetološkoj dnevnoj bolnici u Dubravi. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju kako se naĉin prehrane, to jest, ukupan dnevni unos energije, te udio makronutrijenata koji su promatrani u odnosu na preporuke Američkog dijabetičkog društva, odražavaju na regulaciju glikemije i biokemijske parametre poput koncentracije triglicerida i kolesterola. Svi ispitanici su imali unos proteina u skladu s preporukama, dok je unos masti i ugljikohidrata varirao; najčešće je bio previsok unos energije iz masti, a preniski unos energije iz ugljikohidrata. Kod takvih pacijenata su i biokemijski parametri bili povišeni u odnosu na dopuštene vrijednosti.

Abstract (english)

Diabetes is considered as one of the most common public health problems with an increasing rate of growth. It is caused by a metabolism disorder, apropos the change of substances by which the organism assures the energy it needs. In this paper anthropometric and biochemical modifiers are monitored, as well as the entire daily energetic import and also the import of macronutrients in the 24-hour method of remembering with the patients with diabetes type 2, who were on a five day long education in a Diabetes daily hospital in Dubrava. The given results show how the way of a diet, i.e. the entire daily energy import and the part of macronutrients that are observed reffering to the recommendations of American Diabetes Association, reflect on glycemia regulation and biochemical modifiers such as triglyceride and cholesterol concentration. All of the respondents had proteins import according to the recommendation, while the fat and carbohydrate import variated in cases when the import of energy from the fat was too high, and the import of energy from the carbohydrates was too low. Within these patients biochemical modifiers were also increased in relation to the permitted value.
