Abstract

Učenici u dobi od 11. do 14. godine prolaze kroz prve i značajne promjene u odrastanju. Stoga su pravilna prehrana i prehrambene navike od velikoga značaja za mlađe adolescente. U svrhu uvida u trenutno stanje prehrambenih navika, ispitivanja modela konzumacije jela i pića, prevencije pretilosti i daljnje edukacije po pitanju pravilne prehrane proveden je upitnik među učenicima petih i osmih razreda Osnovne škole Blago Zadro u Vukovaru. Mišljenje ispitanika je analizirano χ2 – testom koji je pokazao statistički značajne razlike u konzumaciji mesa i mesnih prerađevina (χ2=0,0030), ribe (χ2=0,0008), unosa tekućine (χ2=0,0197), te u zadovoljstvu vlastitim izgledom (χ2=0,0179), kao pokazateljem uhranjenosti (djevojke su nezadovoljnije u 8. razredu). Utvrđene su značajne razlike u promatranim parametrima, a posljedica su rasta i razvoja, ali i stupnja prihvaćenosti u društvu. Rezultati upitnika upućuju na nužnost daljnjih istraživanja na ovu temu i nužnost provedbe adekvatne edukacije mlađih adolescenata o važnosti prehrane i njene kakvoće na prehrambeni status.

Abstract (english)

Pupils aged from 11 to 14 years undergo the first significant changes in growing and development. Therefore, proper nutrition and eating habits are of great importance for younger adolescents. This study tested the model of food and drink consumption to get an insight into the current state of eating habits for possible prevention of obesity and necessity of further education regarding proper nutrition. A survey was conducted among students of fifth and eighth grade of the elementary school Blago Zadro in Vukovar. Opinion of the respondents were analysed and the χ2 - test showed statistically significant differences in the consumption of meat and meat products (χ2 = 0.0030), fish (χ2 = 0.0008), fluid intake (χ2 = 0.0197), and in pupils satisfaction with their appearance (χ2=0.0179), related with the indicator of nutritional status (girls in the 8th grade are noticeably dissatisfied with their appearance than the girls in the 5th grade). Significant differences were observed in the parameters as a consequence of growth and development, but also related with the degree of acceptance in society. Results of the questionnaire indicate the need for further research on this topic and the necessity of implementing adequate education of young adolescents about the importance of nutrition and its quality on the nutritional status.
