Abstract

Cilj rada bio je usporediti ponašanje atrazina i terbutilazina u dva poljoprivredna tla kontinentalne Hrvatske nakon njihove primjene u tri različite doze. Analizom vremena poluraspada utvrđeno je da je u oba tla i neovisno o primijenjenoj dozi terbutilazin bio postojaniji od atrazina. Porast početne doze oba herbicida u odnosu na propisanu dozu nije imao značajan utjecaj na njihovu postojanost. Istraživanjem sorpcije i biorazgradnje herbicida u laboratorijskim uvjetima potvrđena je dulja postojanost herbicida u tlu s većim sorpcijskim intenzitetom, a time i slabijom bioraspoloživošću i biorazgradnjom herbicida. Na temelju indeksa ispiranja pesticida s obzirom na temperaturu tla ocjenjuje se podjednak potencijal ispiranja terbutilazina i atrazina kroz profil istraživanih tala. Istraživanjem aktivnosti modelne bakterijske zajednice u razgradnji terbutilazina u tekućoj podlozi i u tlu utvrđen je njen značajan katabolički potencijal i predložen je metabolički put razgradnje terbutilazina. Ocijenjeno je da bi istraživana zajednica mogla poslužiti kao biološki katalizator za ubrzanje procesa razgradnje terbutilazina u onečišćenom okolišu.

Abstract (english)

The objective of this work was to compare atrazine and terbuthylazine behavior in two agricultural soils in continental Croatia after they were applied in three different application rates. The analysis of herbicide half-life values showed that terbuthylazine was more persistent than atrazine in both soils, regardless of the application rate. Atrazine and terbuthylazine initial application rates higher than registered did not have significant influence on their persistence. Studies on sorption and biodegradation of herbicides in laboratory conditions confirmed longer herbicide persistence in soil with higher sorption intensity and thus lower herbicide bioavailability and biodegradation. Based on calculated temperature leaching potential index, similar leaching potential through the soil profile for both terbuthylazine and atrazine was obtained. Activity of the model community in terbuthylazine biodegradation in liquid culture and soil confirmed its significant catabolic potential and metabolic pathway of terbuthylazine biotransformation was proposed. It was estimated that the studied community can serve as a biological catalyst for acceleration of terbuthylazine biodegradation in the polluted environment.
