Abstract

Egzopolisaharidi nastali kao produkt bakterija mliječne kiseline imaju brojne povoljne učinke zbog čega imaju široku primjenu u industrijama kao što su prehrambena, farmaceutska i kemijska industrija. Stoga je cilj ovog rada bio ispitati proizvodnju egzopolisaharida kod određenih Lactobacillus sojeva uzgojenih na podlozi s glukozom i saharozom. Također su provedene određene metode kojima su nastali egzopolisaharidi izolirani iz podloge te pročišćeni. Određena je masa egzopolisaharida izlučenih u okolni medij i onih koji su ostali vezani na površini stanica, čistoća njihovih uzoraka te je provedena detekcija nastajanja biofilma nakon inkubacije koja je trajala 2 dana.

Abstract (english)

Exopolysaccharides produced by lactic acid bacteria have many beneficial effects. That is the main reason of their appliance in many industries such as the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Therefore, the aim of this thesis was to investigate production of exopolysaccharides by Lactobacillus strains, which were cultivated on the medium with glucose and sucrose. Also, a few methods were used to isolate and purificate produced exopolysaccharides. The mass of produced exopolysaccharides (in the medium and the ones attached to the cells), purity of their samples and formation of biofilms was detected.
