Abstract

Iz općeg upitnika prikupljeni su podaci o osnovnim antropometrijskim značajkama (tjelesna masa i visina) ţena. Ti podaci omogućili su izračun indeksa tjelesne mase i usporedbu sa podacima iz literature, kao i praćenje njegove promjene ovisno o stupnju obrazovanja i dobi. Na skupu prikupljenih podataka za 522 ispitanice, prikazana je distribucija indeksa tjelesne mase kao pokazatelja nutritivnog statusa. U prikazu distribucije korišteni su momenti koji predstavljaju mjere kojima se ocjenjuje oblik razdiobe. Momenti ukazuju na srednju vrijednost indeksa tjelesne mase koji ukazuje na normalnu uhranjenost (23,6 kg/m2) sa tendencijom pozitivne asimetrije (M3=1,1) što ukazuje na veći udio osoba koje su gojazne od onih koje su neuhranjene. Obzirom na epidemiju pretilosti, analizirani su i podaci indeksa tjelesne mase od 1975. – 2016. godine. Na navedenim podacima prikazan je trend pomaka srednjih vrijednosti indeksa tjelesne mase prema sve većim vrijednostima.

Abstract (english)

From the general questionnaire, data on basic anthropometric characteristics (weight and height) of women were collected. These data allowed calculating body mass index and its comparison with literature data, as well as tracking its changes depending on the level of education and age. At the collection of data collected for 522 respondents, distribution of the body mass index was used as an indicator of nutritional status. In the view of distribution presentation, the moments that represent the measures to evaluate the form of the distribution are used. Calculated moments show that the average body mass index indicates normal nutritional status (23.6 kg/m2) with positive asymmetry (M3 = 1.1) which indicates the tendency of higher proportion of people who are suffering from obesity than those who are underweighted. Given the epidemic of obesity, analysed were data of body mass index from 1975 to 2016. The results show the trend of the average body mass index shifting to higher values.
