Abstract

Tumori su i dan danas jedan od većih misterija medicine, posebice faktori i mehanizmi njihovog nastajanja i razvoja. Tumori testisa, specijalno zametnih stanica testisa, još uvijek su podosta nepoznat teritorij, unatoč visokoj razini proučenosti. Jedan su od vodećih uzroka smrtnosti muškaraca, a postaju i sve češći u populaciji. U radu ću se osvrnuti na dosad poznate molekularno-biološke faktore nastanka i razvoja tumora zametnih stanica testisa (genske promjene, epigenske promjene, nasljednost i utjecaj vanjskih faktora) te na njihov značaj za sadašnjost i budućnost poznavanja, dijagnosticiranja i liječenja tumora.

Abstract (english)

Up to this day, tumours remain one of the greatest medical mysteries, especially their development factors and mechanisms. Testicular tumours, especially testicular germ cells tumours, are still quite an unknown territory, despite being highly studied. They are one of the leading causes of death amogst men, and their number is increasing. In this thesis, I will write about known molecular-biological factors of testicular germ cells tumor development (genetic alterations, epigenetic alterations, inheritance and environmental factors) and their importance in the present and the future of knowing, diagnosing and treating tumours.
