Abstract

Unos tekućine je važan dio sportske prehrane, posebno kod sportaša koji se bave intenzivnom tjelesnom aktivnošću koja rezultira gubicima znoja. Znojenjem se gube voda i elektroliti, koje je nakon tjelesne aktivnosti potrebno nadoknaditi. Adekvatan stupanj hidracije ima povoljan utjecaj na zdravlje i sportsku izvedbu. U ovom radu obrađena su pitanja validiranog upitnika o hidraciji sportaša koja se odnose na vrste napitaka. Cilj rada bio je prijedlog poboljšanja validiranog upitnika s jasnijim objašnjenjima pitanjao vrstama napitaka koje koriste sportaši. Analiza odgovora na pitanja koja se tiču konzumacije napitaka kod sportaša, pokazala je razlike između odgovora ispitanika danih tijekom prvog provođenja upitnika i tijekom drugog provođenja upitnika, međutim one nisu signifikantne(npr. „ugljikohidrati u tekućem obliku“ ili „zaslađeni napici“). Predložene su dopune određenih pitanja u kvantifikaciji konzumiranih napitaka (od „nikad“ do „svaki put“). Istaknuta je važnost sudjelovanja nutricionista u sastavljanju upitnika o hidraciji kako bi se pitanja detaljnije objasnila i prilagodila ispitanicima te kao rezultat dobili jednoznačni i jasni odgovori.

Abstract (english)

Fluid intake is an important part of sports nutrition, especially in athletes who engage in intense physical activity that results in sweat loss. Sweating causes the loss of water and electrolytes, which need to be replenished after physical activity. Adequate hydration levels have a beneficial effect on health and athletic performance. This thesis deals with the questions of the validated questionnaire regarding hydration practice among athletes related to the types of beverages. The aim was to propose an improvement of the validated questionnaire with clearer explanations of the questions related to the types of beverages used by athletes. The analysis of the answers to the questions concerning the consumption of beverages by athletes showed differences between the answers of the respondents given during the first implementation of the questionnaire and during the second implementation of the questionnaire, but they are not significant (e.g. "carbohydrates in liquid form" or "sweetened beverages"). Additions to certain issues in the quantification of consumed beverages (from "never" to "every time") have been proposed. The importance of the participation of nutritionists in creating the questionnaire on hydration was emphasized in order to explain and adapt the questions in more detail to the respondents and as a result to get unambiguous and clear answers.
