Abstract

Hidrodinamička kavitacija je proces proizvodnje, rasta i implozije kavitacijskih mjehurića. Kavitacijom se generiraju velike količine energije sadržane u obliku visokih lokalnih temperatura i tlakova, stoga je primjenjiva u sklopu intenzifikacije procesa. Reakcije koje iziskuju ekstremne uvjete mogu se provoditi zahvaljujući učinku kavitacije unutar reaktora. Najčešće izvedbe reaktora vezane su uz kavitacijsku prigušnicu, za koju analiza hidrodinamičkih uvjeta daje najbolje rezultate. Cilj ovog rada je teorijski predstaviti tehnologiju, sukladno tome objasniti sam proces kavitacije, izvedbu reaktora, analizu hidrodinamičkih uvjeta te primjenu hidrodinamičkih kavitacijskih reaktora. Ova tehnologija ima veliku mogućnost primjene u tehnološkim procesima i ekoinženjerstvu, ali je još uvijek u istraživačkoj fazi. Glavni nedostatak hidrodinamičkih kavitacijskih reaktora je erozija, koja uništava površinu opreme.

Abstract (english)

Hydrodynamic cavitation is a process that consists of production, growth, and implosion of cavities. Cavitation produces large amounts of energy in the form of high local temperatures and pressures, thus it can be used in the process of intensification. Chemical reactions that require extreme conditions can be carried out due to the cavitational effect taking place inside the reactor. Most commonly found form of reactor is a reactor with orifice plate for which the analysis of hydrodynamic conditions gives the best results. The aim of this paper is to give theoretical background of cavitation reactor technology, explain the cavitational process, explain the different forms of cavitational reactors, analyse hydrodynamic conditions and explain different applications of hydrodynamic cavitational reactors. This technology has a lot of potential for application in technological processes and environmental engineering, but it is still in experimental phase. The main flaw of hydrodynamic cavitational reactors is erosion, which destroys the surface of equipment.
