Abstract

Korištenje interneta kao izvora informacija o hrani i prehrambenim navikama u trudnica se u posljednjih deset godina značajno povećalo. Međutim, postoji veliki broj internetskih stranica čija pouzdanost nije provjerena, koje sadrže nepotpune ili netočne informacije te iskrivljene znanstvene činjenice. More internetske stranice podijeljene su u kategorije: Udruge, Poliklinike, Tvrtke i/ili prozvodi farmaceutske i prehrambene industrije, Javnozdravstvene ustanove i/ili njihove tiskovine, Komercijalne stranice, Nutricionistička i slična savjetovališta te Ostalo. Najveća usklađenost objavljenih sadržaja i smjernica o prehrani u trudnoći je uočena kod kategorije Ostalo, dok je sadržaj stranica kategorije Udruge bio najmanje usklađen s referentnim smjernicama. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju kako je nužno uložiti više napora u ažuriranje stranica najnovijim znanstvenim informacijama kao i u edukaciju o tome kako kritički čitati internetske stranice. Less

Abstract (english)

The use of the Internet as a source of information about food and eating habits in pregnant women has increased significantly in the last ten years. However, there is a large number of websites whose reliability has not been verified, which contain incomplete or inaccurate information or distorted scientific facts. The aim of this study was to examine the availability and reliability of online information on nutrition in pregnancy on Croatian websites and to compare them with existing... More guidelines. The analyzed websites are divided in seven categories: Associations, Polyclinics, Companies and/or products of the pharmaceutical and food industries, Public health institutions and/or their publications, Commercial websites, Nutrition and similar counseling centers and Other. The highest overlap of published material and guidelines on nutrition in pregnancy was noted in the category Other, while the content of the websites of the Association category was the least coordinated with the reference guidelines. Obtained results indicate that it is necessary to invest more effort in updating websites with the latest scientific information and in educating on how to critically read them. Less
